The parcel my family lives on in Athens, GA was named “New Ground” by my great-grandparents. We decided this was a perfect name for the orchards where these pecans grew. Even though many generations have farmed here, the land’s gifts are “new” everyday.
It was the authenticity of farming and desire to care for the land which drew us to farm full-time. In 2014, we left our regular jobs and took on a 200-acre pecan farm in middle Georgia, dedicated to a life “behind the plow.”
Everyday, we strive to grow this wholesome, healthy product, care for the land, be fair to our employees and charitable to our community. In short, we aim to live a simple life, maintain a pure heart, and be faithful to our traditions. We are grateful to share this bounty!
